BHSAI INT.T, UKCC Level 3, ESEBT, NLP Practioner, BD list 5 judge, Centre 10 Advanced Coach
As far back as I can remember I wanted to work with horses, so at 16 I left school and began work as a working pupil, going on to take my BHS exams. I then spent many happy years working at a riding school teaching riders of all standards from beginners to students working towards their BHS exams. In 2009 I went onto teach freelance going onto gain my BHS Intermediate teaching exam. UKCC level 3 and qualify as a British Dressage List 5 Judge. During this time I developed a keen interest in rider psychology and how a riders mindset affects performance. Through attending riding and teaching courses with Mary Wanless, I became interested in NLP, leading me to enrol for a NLP foundation diploma with UKCPD. I was completely blown away by the relevance of NLP to equestrian coaching and how I could use it to help my riders. This motivated me to complete my NLP practitioner course in 2017 with Inspire 360. In 2018 I was accepted to take part Centre 10's Applied Psychology for Equestrian Coaches programme becoming a Centre 10 advanced coach. My passion for psychology and coaching continues, alongside working with riders on a daily basis I am currently studying for a degree in Psychology with the Open University as well as starting my training to become a NLP master practitioner in January 2020.
